Caleigh Meraw and Kemar Alleyne, named Freeman's Athletes of the Week

Caleigh, a first-year defenseman from Red Deer Alberta, had a goal and an assist in the Huskies 2-1 win over UNB on Saturday night.  She also contributed strong defensive play throughout the game.   The Huskies host StFX on Wednesday night at the Civic and finish off the first half of the season Saturday at 7:30 when they host MTA.  Both games at the Halifax Civic Centre. 

Kemar Alleyne, a 5th year guard from Scarborough, ON was named Subway Player of the game in the Huskies 73-68 OT win over Dalhousie, Friday night at the Scotiabank Centre.  Alleyne finished the game with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and is 2nd in team scoring with a 13.5 ppg average.  The Huskies are in first place with a 6-0 record heading into the December break.
