WOLFVILLE, NS – In their final home game of the regular season, the Acadia Axemen topped the previously undefeated Saint Mary's Huskies in a 31-2 victory.

Three minutes after Lawrie's major, Acadia running back Dale Wright widened the lead by scoring his first of two majors, giving the Axemen a 17-0 first half advantage.

The Axemen gave up a safety early in the third quarter, giving the Huskies the only points to be scored against Acadia in the season-ending game.

The excitement continued very shortly after the opening of the fourth quarter. Second-year Axemen running back, Cole Estabrooks, rushed an impressive 53 yards to seal the win for the Axemen, pushing the lead to 31-2.
