(Sackville, NB) The visiting Saint Mary's Huskies topped Mount Allison 2-1 in men's soccer action on Sunday.
An entertaining game at Alumni Field saw Mount Allison opened the action strong, carrying the play into the Huskies half. A shot by Brogan Skinner in the 6th minute rung off the post and into the keepers hand, inches away from finding the back of the net.
By the 20 minute mark the Huskies found their footing and began to ask questions of the Mount Allison defence.
Scoring for the Huskies were Fabian Perez and Cian Tousignant-Osiadhail.
SMU was able to defend the lead through the dying minutes of the match, securing their first win of the season.
Mount Allison looks to rebound Sunday October 1st against U de M in Moncton. The Huskies host UPEI on Friday night at Huskies Stadium.
