Track & Field from McGill Challenge

This past weekend, 8 selected athletes competed at the McGill Team Challenge in Montreal. The Huskies showed well with multiple athletes smashing personal bests.

While the overall event was a personal best in points, Musoke also competed to a personal best in the long jump with 6.41 metres, high jump at 1.90 metres, pole vault at 3.10 metres, and 1000m in 3:02.60.

Clark crossed the line in 3:07.51 in the 1000m and 4:57.30 in the 1500m, while placing 2nd in both of her heats. Peverill crossed the line in 2:37.91 in the 1000m, winning his heat by .01 of a second, and finished in 4:13.56 in the 1500m.

Drew LeFrank and Corwin Trottier both finished with personal bests in the 600m. Both athletes also competed in the 1000m, along with Ian MacDonald, who also raced to a personal best in the 1500m with a time of 4:29.50.

Mark Kidston competed in the 60m and 300m, and sprinted to a personal best in the 300m, crossing the line in 36.85 while finishing 3rd in his heat.

Great job to all the Huskies who represented Saint Mary's in Montreal. Next up for the team is the Tiger Track Classic at the Canada Games Centre on February 7th.
