Huskies lose to undefeated Axe-women

WOLFVILLE, N.S. - The Axewomen rugby team remain undefeated and in first place in the AUS standings with a 114-0 win over the visiting Saint Mary's Huskies.
Thirty one of the 114 points were scored in the first half with an Acadia roster peppered with younger players since several players remained on the bench undressed after Acadia's win over StFX last weekend.
Molly Labenski, who returned for the first time since her injury in preseason play, posted game high three trys, while teammates Natasha Wotton, Courtney Foster, Maddie MacKenzie and Tori Stanhope each added two trys.
Local product Courtney Foster was named the Subway Player of the Game for her try contribution and the Huskies' Emily Nearing captured the player of the game honours for Saint Mary's.
The Axewomen travel to Charlottetown to take on the UPEI Panthers, while the Huskies host the StFX X-Women next weekend.
