Horner's three tries lead CIS No. 4 ranked StFX 79-0 over SMU

(Halifax, NS)--Anna Horner (Stouffville, ON) had three tries and the CIS No. 7 ranked StFX X-Women defeated the SMU Huskies 79-0 in AUS women's rugby action Wednesday night.

 

Seven different players scored on the night and fullback Dominique Lalande (Halifax, NS) handled the convert attempts for the 5-0 X-Women.

 

StFX had seven tries in the first half and led 43-0 at half.

 

Six tries in the second half saw the X-Women win 79-0.

 

StFX travels Thanksgiving weekend to Ottawa for a pair of exhibition games versus the Carleton Ravens and the Ottawa Gee-Gees, then visits the UPEI Panthers (2-2) October 15th.

 

Saint Mary's falls to 0-5 on the year and host the Acadia Axewomen (2-2) October 16th.,at Huskies Stadium.

 

Both AUS games are set for 2pm.
