Women's Soccer add Lindsay MacDonald to 16/17 lineup

Fernando Lucas, Head Coach of the Saint Mary's Women's Soccer team is happy to announce BC born but Waverly, Nova Scotia raised Lindsay MacDonald has committed to attend Saint Mary's University. She will pursue a degree in the faculty of science and join the women's soccer team in September 2016.

 

Lindsay is a current member of the U18s Suburban FC and plays the role of center back.  She has been a member of the Lockview High School soccer team and a member of the Nova Scotia Provincial program for the past four years


Having won provincial silver medals in club soccer for the last six seasons and a silver medal in high school in 2014, Lindsay is determined to end the "silver medal streak" and her future goal is to help the team bring home the gold at an AUS championship during her time at SMU.



Lindsay is a high honors student having maintained a 95+ average while being active in both clubs and school sports such as best buddies; free the children, soccer, rugby, and student's council. 


"I have watched Lindsay play and develop her skills over the past 2 years and I am very excited to announce that Lindsay will be attending SMU in the fall. Lindsay will bring depth to our back line and I am confident Lindsay will be able to step in and play at the AUS level. Getting to know Lindsay over the past two years, I am confident she is a good fit for Saint Mary's University. She will be a great addition both on the field and in the classroom" says coach Fernando.
