Huskies win 1-0 over Capers

Sydney, NS – Heavy rains played a large part in the game which saw the Huskies win 1-0   over the defending champion CAPERS. Huskies Anna Erikson scored the only goal of the game 11 minutes in on a goal-mouth scramble. SMU Keeper turned aside 12 shots kept the CAPERS off the scoreboard. Haley Kardas (Halifax, NS) took the loss for the CAPERS.

Turning Point: The CAPERS hit the post early In the second half and had many chances near the end of the game but weren't able to capitalize. 

Individual Leaders 

* CBU's Freeman led with 4 shots on goal 

* There were no assists in the game 

* The Huskies Erikson had the only goal

* SMU's Kyanna Gilks stopped all 12 shots she faced

* Gilks was awarded Subway Player of the Game for her relentless effort.

• The CAPERS suffered their 1^stloss of the season (6-1-1)
