Saint Mary's win 3- 0 over Moncton

MONCTON -- Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (0-5=0pts, 6th position) came close to winning its first set of the year, but the Saint Mary's University Huskies (2-3=4pts, 4th position) had other plans as they blanked the local team 3-0 on Sunday at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium in an Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball game in Moncton.

The Huskies won their last two weekend games after losing the first three of the season. Moncton lost 25-23, 25-10 and 25-18.

Pascale Doiron scored 7 kills and 27 attacks while Joanie Arsenault made 27 attacks, 5 kills and 11digs for the Blue and Gold. Anna Watt registered 7 kills, 10 digs and 22 attacks for the Subway player of the game, Bethany Smith, 6 kills and 12 attacks. Moncton led for most of the first set.

The Aigles and the Huskies play their next four games next weekend at Acadia in the AUS women's volleyball tournament.
