SMU defeats UdeM 3-1

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (4-11=8pts, 5th position) were defeated 3-1 by Saint Mary's University Huskies (9-6=18pts, 2nd position) in an Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball game on Sunday at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud.

Moncton lost 14-25, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-14. Anna Watt registered 12 kills and 11 digs for the Huskies. Renee Cleveland added 21 digs. The local team's offensive was led by Joanie Arsenault with 10 kills. Pascale Doiron had 16 digs.

Rene Cleveland was named Subway Player of the Game.  

The Blue and Gold will host Dalhousie University Tigers (15-0=30pts, 1st position), Friday at 7p.m. and Saturday at 4p.m. at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium for the last two home games of the regular season.  

Up next, Saint Mary's will host UNB Friday evening at the Homburg Centre.
