Men's Basketball

Youth Mentorship Program called “Just Believe” - Just Believe is a mentoring program where 3 mentors from the SMU men’s basketball team welcome about 9 young men from Caledonia Junior High every other Friday from 9:30am-1:30pm between the months of October and March. During these times, the mentees from Caledonia experience positive relationships with adults who aren’t their teachers or parents. Aside from spending extended times together on campus, in a gym and in the meal hall, the mentors take the mentees through relevant topics such as: goal setting, priorities, importance of school, bullying, peer-pressure. This year we have introduced a 1on1 component to the day when each mentee gets some time alone with a mentor.
