Athletes of Week - Brooke Murphy & Mitchell Balmas

Brooke Murphy and Mitchell Balmas, from hockey are this week's Athletes of the Week, for the week ending October 13th. 

Brooke, a 4th year Criminology student from Balla Phillip, NB, scored two in SMU's 4-1 win over the visiting UPEI Panthers and was named Subway Player of the Game.  She is currently tied with teammate Kaitlin Howard for first in team scoring with 5 points on the season.  In upcoming action, the Huskies host a pair of games this weekend.  Friday vs UNB and Saturday vs STU.  Both games are 7 p.m. at the Dauphinee Centre.  

First year forward, Mitchell Balmas from Sydney, NS, was named Subway Player of the game in SMU's 6-2 win over Dalhousie.  Balmas had 2 goals on the night and has a total of four points on the season.  The Huskies host Acadia on Wednesday night at the Dauphinee Centre and then travel to Charlottetown to face the Panthers on Friday, October 18th.  Both games are 7 p.m. starts.
