John is a physical education and Core French teacher at Springvale School in Halifax. The 2022 season will be John's 21st year with Huskies Football team.  John played university football for St.F.X. he and his wife Maria have two children, a son Kyran and daughter Lauren. In 2009, John was honoured at the national Physical & Health Education conference with the "Physical Education Teaching Excellence Award" for the province of Nova Scotia and has been recognized on several occassions provincially for volunteerism in education.
