Bio

Matt Elliott was born Antigonish, NS and raised in Dartmouth. Coach Elliott played defensive back for the Huskies for the 1998 and 1999 seasons. He was a member of the Huskies coaching staff from 2008-2009 as an assistant defensive back and special teams coach. More recently, Coach Elliott rejoined the Huskies staff in 2018 and has served as a position coach with both running backs and receivers as well as director of GameStrat. 

Coach Elliott is also an active duty member of the Canadian Armed Forces with over 19 years experience as an Infantryman, Infantry Officer, Special Forces Operator and most recently as a Legal Officer. Coach Elliott received his BA from SMU, his MA from Athabasca University and his Juris Doctor Degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. 

Coach Elliott resides in Halifax with his wife Erin and his daughters Ava and Mary.
