It was a special night that saw students from both Universities and fans from the community come out to support the mental health initiative.
Halifax Mayor, Michael Savage took part in the ceremonial puck drop between Dalhousie captain Luke Madill and Saint Mary's assistant captain Stephen MacAulay.
Saint Mary's defenseman Michael D'Orazio opened up the scoring 4:27 into the first period on the power play. Stephen Johnston made a beautiful backdoor pass from the Tigers goal line to D'Orazio who had no troubles beating Tigers goalieCorbin Boes. The power play tally came 16 seconds after Wes Herrett was sent to the box for crosschecking.
Halfway through the first period the Huskies extended their lead to 2-0. Matt Tipoff had some space at the top of the Tigers faceoff circle and found Ben Duffy down low. Duffy found the back of the net scoring his eighth of the year.
The Huskies carried a 2-0 lead after the first 20 minutes of play.

Dalhousie forward, Andrew Wigginton continued his hot streak scoring on a breakaway 9:15 into the second period. Wigginton snapped the puck past Saint Mary's goalie, Marc Terriault cutting the deficit 2-1.
Just 13 seconds later Saint Mary's extend their lead back to two goals. Duffy made a pass from the point to Tipoff who was in tight on the Dalhousie net. Tipoff displayed his hands roofing the puck past Boes.
The scoring frenzy continued as Tanner Williams countered for the Tigers. Williams drove the net hard and whacked home the puck in front of the Huskies cage, bring the Tigers within one goal. Alex Cote and Jackson Playfair were credited with the helpers.
Phil Gadoury tied the game at 3-3 on a beautiful shot. The Dalhousie forward flew down the wing and ripped a shot from the top of the circle past a helpless Therriault.
Alex Cord put an end to the Tigers second period comeback, finding the net with just over a minute remaining. Cord threw a shot from the point toward the Dalhousie net that took a couple bounces on its way in fooling Boes.
After the second period the Huskies took at 4-3 lead into the dressing room.
Wigginton was at it again in the third period knotting thing up at 4-4 on the power play with a wrist shot from the faceoff dot. Fabian Walsh and Colton Parsons received credit for the assists.
A quick counter once again by the Huskies deflated the Tigers. Doornbosch scored the game winner just over a minute after the Wigginton tally. Doornbosch threw a puck from the point that found its way to the back of the net.
