Huskies welcome Marlo Steenbakkers to 2019/20 roster

The Saint Mary's University Women's Basketball Team would like to announce the commitment of Marlo Steenbakkers to join the Huskies in the fall of 2019. Steenbakkers a 6'0 forward from Stittsville, Ontario and is a current member of the Capital Courts Academy basketball program who compete in Ontario's top OSBA League.

"We are very excited to add Marlo to our program this fall. Marlo is a very competitive player who plays with an edge. She is a talented rebounder and will certainly help add some physicality and size to our forward group. Her game is evolving and she is an extremely hard worker who will have the ability to play multiple positions down the road. Marlo is also a very high achiever in the classroom and we look forward to having her with the Huskies, "stated Head Coach Scott Munro.

Steenbakkers plans to study in the Saint Mary's University Faculty of Science. Steenbakkers is the fourth recruit to commit to the Huskies for the fall of 2019.
