(Sackville, NB) In AUS women's hockey action, the Saint Mary's Huskies extended their winning streak to three straight, in a 4-1 victory over the Mounties.
Scoreless after one period, the Huskies outshot the Mounties 15-5.
In the 2nd, Caleigh Meraw (Red Deer, AB) opened up the scoring for SMU with an assist coming from Ellen Laurence at 12:06.
Miranda Hatt (Eastern Passage, NS) scored SMU's 2nd goal at 15:27 with assists from Shae Demale and Kaitlin Howarth.
The scoring continued into the 2nd when Laura Horwarth (Grandfalls-Windosr), scored an unassisted goal at 15:35.
The Huskies finished off the 2nd period on a goal from Shae Demale (Red Deer, AB) from Aimee O'Neill at 18:35.
SMU lead 4-0 after two.
Mount Allison finally got on the board late in the third on a pp goal by Jenna Miller.
Subway Player of the Game was awarded to Shae Demale who finished off the night with two points. Demale and teammate Howarth are both tied with 4 points each in AUS scoring.
The Huskies host UPEI Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Dauphinee Centre and the Mounties are at St. Thomas.
