But Dalhousie kept pushing and once again scored two goals in a minute, with Abby Larkin and Mollie Power finding the back of the net to tie it at 5-5 late.
Both teams pushed for a go-ahead goal, but regulation solved nothing and the two crosstown rivals headed into 3-on-3 overtime.
It took less than a minute of overtime play for the Huskies to secure the victory.
Jillian Duggan's initial shot was stopped, but Gillian Lapierre was able to deflect the rebound back to the point, where Anna Barrington fired a one-timer that took a bounce and beat Tigers netminder Madison King, giving the Huskies the 6-5 overtime win.
