Saint Mary's goaltender Ridleigh Hansen stopped 31 shots for her second straight shutout and forward Avery Cant added a goal and an assist, as the Huskies defeated the Dalhousie Tigers 4-0 to sweep their best-of-three series and advance to the semifinals of the Atlantic University Sport women's hockey championship on Friday night at the Halifax Forum.

The 2023-24 Atlantic University Sport women's hockey awards were announced on Friday, with several members of the Saint Mary's Huskies being honoured among the league's best. Chris Larade was named AUS Coach of the Year, forward Miranda Hatt was named AUS Top Defensive Player as well as a Second Team AUS All-Star, defender Abigail MacKenzie was named a First Team AUS All-Star, and forward Avery Cant was named to the AUS All-Rookie team.
