StFX Invitation - Saint Mary's Recap

The Saint Mary's men and women's cross country team completed their second race of this season at the St.F.X Invitational in Antigonish, Nova Scotia this past Saturday. The women completed a 6km race while the men covered 8km in distance.

 

Meghan Clark was the first Huskie finisher covering the 6km race in a time of 24:32. Grace Barnhart was close behind Clark in a time of 24:59. In her first meet wearing the maroon and white, Lauren Ross placed third in the Huskie squad. 

 

On the men's side, second year athlete Jonathan Peverill and Corwin Trotter worked together and finished 13th and 14th respectively covering the 8km race in a time of 28:18 and 28:33. Ian MacDonald was close behind in 26th position. Other notable performances included a 32nd placing by Jagmeet Brar. The men's team placed 3rd overall among the AUS. Congratulations to the men's cross country team on this strong finish.

 

This coming weekend, six athletes will be travelling to Quebec City to compete in the interlock meet. The AUS Championships are being held in Fredericton, New Brunswick on October 31st
