Marcel Scheele Commits to Huskies Cross Country and Track & Field Programs

The Saint Mary's Cross Country and Track & Field teams are delighted to welcome and announce the commitment of Marcel Scheele of St. Mary's, Ontario to the team. 

Marcel currently attends St. Mary's District Collegiate Vocational Institute in Ontario and was the 2017 Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSSA) champion in the 2000m steeplechase where his personal best time is 5:56.07. Marcel has recorded personal bests of 3:58.30 in the 1500m event and 8:35.73 in the 3000m. 

Head Coach Kevin Heisler notes that "Marcel is an excellent track and cross country runner who has experience at the Provincial and National levels and is a welcome addition to our team. He will make an immediate impact on our team and potentially be one of the top cross country and track athletes in the AUS Conference." 

Marcel comments that he is "looking forward to running and studying at Saint Mary's next fall! I hope I can bring a positive impact to the team and have a great experience."

Marcel will be studying Arts at Saint Mary's. Welcome Marcel!
