Huskies recognize school-record 138 Academic All-Canadians

The Saint Mary's University Huskies Department of Athletics celebrated the academic success of their student-athletes on Tuesday morning with the annual Huskies Academic All-Canadian breakfast ceremony. A new Saint Mary's record of 138 student-athletes were awarded the standing of U SPORTS Academic All Canadian. U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian distinction is one of the highest recognitions a university varsity athlete may receive. To earn U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian distinction, a varsity student-athlete must be enrolled full-time and achieve an average of 80% or higher in the academic year.

The Saint Mary's Huskies cross country teams kicked off their 2025 Atlantic University Sport season with a gritty showing at the UNB Invitational, hosted at scenic Odell Park in Fredericton, NB. In a competitive field featuring top programs from across the conference, the Huskies placed 4th overall on the men’s side with a team score of 118 points.
