Huskies men finish fourth, women finish seventh at AUS Track & Field Championships

The Saint Mary's Huskies capped off the 2022 AUS Track & Field Championships with the men's team placing 4th overall with 46.5 points and the women's team placing 7th with 12 points. 

Day 2 was highlighted by a pair of silver medals from Andrew Peverill (1500m) and Eric Wall (High Jump), with Peverill breaking his own AUS record in a time of 3:51.78, just to be beat to the line by .04 of a second, and Wall jumping a new personal best of 1.91m, narrowly missing out on the gold. Dante Isadore would also jump to his second medal of the championships, securing a bronze in the Triple Jump with a jump of 12.47m. The men's 4x400m relay team (Innis MacMullin, Andy MacMullin, Colton Cabellero, Andrew Peverill) capped of the weekend with a bronze medal in a time of 3:35.34. 

The women's 4x400m relay team (Kelly MacInnis, Rachel Walton, Sophie Leblanc, Cate Majury) placed 6th in 4:44.30, scoring points towards the women's team score. 

Day 1 saw the Huskies win several individual and team medals.

On the men's side, Andrew Peverill (1000m) and Dante Isadore (Long Jump) each won silver medals in their respective events, with the 4x200m (Nikola KriznarAndy MacMullinJaden Storry-TrefryInnis MacMullin) and 4x800m (Colton CaballeroJoe StewartRory McGarveyAndrew Peverill) relay teams each claiming bronze medals. On the women's side, Emily Batt sprinted to a bronze medal in the 60m hurdles. 

The women's 4x200m relay team (Lily WylieCate MajuryMegan KingKelly MacInnis) finished in 5th place while setting a new school record in the event. Also scoring points for the women's team were Emily Batt in the shotput (6th place) and the 4x800m relay team (4th place, Rachel Walton, Gracie AverySophie LeblancBhreagh Burke). Also scoring points on the men's side was Innis MacMullin in the 300m (4th place, narrowly missing out on bronze by .15 of a second). 

The Dalhousie Tigers would go on to win the women's and men's banners, with the women scoring 153 points and the men scoring 138.5 points.
