Peverill, Gascoigne named Huskies Athletes of the Week: March 14-20

Men's track and field athlete Andrew Peverill and women's basketball player Clara Gascoigne have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week for the week of March 14-20, sponsored by Outcast Upcycled Nutrition.
 
Huskies track and field star Andrew Peverill (Sackville, NS) is the Huskies male athlete of the week for the week of March 14-20.

At this weekend's AUS Track & Field Championships, Peverill won silver medals in both the 1000m and 1500m individual events, and added a pair of bronze medals with the 4x400m relay team (Peverill, Innis MacMullin, Andy MacMullin, Colton Cabellero) and 4x800m relay team (Peverill, Colton Caballero, Joe Stewart, Rory McGarvey).

Women's basketball player Clara Gascoigne (Dartmouth, NS) is the Huskies female athlete of the week for the week of March 14-20.

At this weekend's AUS Basketball Championships, Gascoigne, a second year guard, was named to the tournament All-Star team. Over two games, Gascoigne scored a total of 44 points on 67% (14/21) field goal shooting, 83% (5/6) three-point shooting, and 92% (11/12) free-throw shooting. She also added 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks.
