Davis, Morrison named Huskies Athletes of the Week: Oct. 17-23

Men's soccer goalkeeper Ryan Davis and women's soccer goalkeeper Grace Morrison have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week of Oct. 17-23.

Ryan Davis, a second year goalkeeper from Lake Loon, N.S., is the Huskies male athlete of the week for the week of Oct. 17-23.

Davis made seven saves in the Huskies 0-0 draw vs. the UNB REDS on Friday, Oct. 21, and was named Subway Player of the Game. Davis has posted three clean sheets in four games started this season, and leads the AUS with a 92% save percentage. 

The Huskies have clinched a berth in the AUS playoffs, and will be finishing off the regular season this Saturday as they host the Memorial Sea-Hawks.

Grace Morrison, a third year goalkeeper from Halifax, N.S., is the Huskies female athlete of the week for the week of Oct. 17-23.

Morrison made 11 saves, including stopping a penalty kick in the Huskies 2-0 win over the UNB REDS on Friday, Oct. 21, and was named Subway Player of the Game. Morrison has posted three clean sheets in eight games started this season.

The Huskies have clinched a berth in the AUS playoffs, and will be finishing off the regular season this Saturday as they host the Memorial Sea-Hawks.
