Huskies Men's Hockey welcome forward Ben Allison

HALIFAX, NS - Saint Mary's men's hockey head coach Tyler Naugler is pleased to announce the addition of forward Ben Allison to the Huskies line-up for the 2023-24 season.  

A 6'2" forward from Halifax, N.S., Allison was an assistant captain for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the QMJHL this past season, where he posted a career high 78 points (32 goals, 46 assists) in 68 games played. He was named the Titan's Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year.

"We are thrilled to add a player of Ben Allison's caliber to our team," says Huskies head coach Tyler Naugler. "He's a big, skilled forward who is a strong playmaker and dangerous finisher around the net, and will add size, skill and scoring to our offence."

Over his four year career in the QMJHL, Allison recorded 157 points (62 goals and 95 assists) in 193 games played for three teams (Acadie-Bathurst Titan, Gatineau Olympiques and Cape Breton Eagles).

"I'm very excited to be a Husky!," says Allison, who grew up attending the Saint Mary's Camp of Champions in Halifax. "I started playing hockey around the old Saint Mary's Alumni Arena, and can't wait to get going in the new Dauphinee Centre!"

Allison will be studying a Bachelor of Commerce at Saint Mary's. He is the first committment announced to the Huskies 2023-24 recruiting class.

The Huskies finished second in the AUS in 2022-23 with a 26-13-2 overall record, reaching the AUS final and qualifying for the U CUP Nationals.
