(HALIFAX, N.S.)—The Dalhousie Tigers and the host Saint Mary's Huskies played to a 0-0 draw Thursday night in Atlantic University Sport men's soccer action from Huskies Stadium.
The Huskies pick up a point in the draw and improve to 0-2-1 on the year.
Dalhousie's seven points on the campaign have the Tigers sitting atop the AUS standings at 2-0-1.
Both teams were even in first-half shots (4-4) and SMU forced Dal keeper Ben Grondin (Calgary, Alberta) into early action with four first-half saves.
Dalhousie out-shot the Huskies 8-2 in the second-half and forced three SMU saves.
Grondin (T, 0-0-1) finished with five saves for the Dalhousie.
The Tigers doubled up Saint Mary's 12-6 in overall shots and corner kicks 10-2.
Huskies keeper and Halifax native Ben Oxner (T, 0-2-1) had five saves and was named Subway Player of the Game.
Both teams face a hot 2-0 Memorial University Sea-Hawks this weekend in Halifax.
The Sea-Hawks have conceded a goal on the campaign and scored 12 times.
Memorial plays at Huskies Stadium on Saturday and Dalhousie on Sunday with both games set for 3:15 p.m. Atlantic time.
