The Atlantic Field Hockey League is comprised of teams from Acadia, Dalhousie, Saint Mary’s, St Francis Xavier, University of New Brunswick and University of Prince Edward Island and new to the league this year is the addition of Mt. Allison. Tournament #1 took place between Saint Mary's University and Dalhousie University. The league involves two tournaments and then a Play-off weekend for the Atlantic Championship. After which the winner will continue on to the Ontario University Association play-offs for a birth in the CIS Championships.

Saint Mary’s University captured teh 2013 Field Hockey Championship this weekend with a thrilling OT Shootout over the Dalhousie Tigers. SMU will travel to the OUA Playoffs this weekend hosted by York.
