Keith Getson - Men's Hockey

Men's hockey forward Keith Getson and women's hockey forward Aimee O'Neill have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week of Jan. 9-15, 2023.

Keith Getson, a third year forward out of Bridgewater, NS, is the Huskies male athlete of the week for the week of Jan. 9-15, 2023.

In Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the UPEI Panthers, Getson scored the game-winning goal just 19 seconds into overtime to secure the comeback victory for the Huskies. It was Getson's third game-winning goal of the season, tying him for second in the conference. He also recorded two shots on goal and won 23/30 faceoffs taken.

In 22 games played this season, Getson is tied for second on the Huskies with nine goals, and fifth on the team with 14 points.

The Huskies are currently ranked #9 in U SPORTS, and have clinched a spot in the AUS Playoffs with a current record of 14-8-0, good for third place in the standings.
