Freeman & Freeman named Huskies Athletes of the Week: Sept. 11 - 17, 2023

Men's soccer forward Sean Freeman and women's soccer forward Cara Freeman have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week ending September 17th, 2023.

Sean Freeman, a third year forward from Halifax, N.S., is the Huskies male athlete of the week for the week ending September 17th, 2023.

Over two games this weekend, Freeman played the full 180 minutes and recorded one goal and three shots on goal. On the season, Freeman is tied for second in the AUS with three goals in four games played.

Cara Freeman, a first year forward from Halifax, N.S., is the Huskies female athlete of the week for the week ending September 17th, 2023.

Freeman scored three goals – including the stoppage time game-winner – and added an assist in the Huskies 5-4 win over the Memorial Sea-Hawks on Sunday afternoon.

Over two games this weekend, Freeman played the full 180 minutes and recorded three goals, one assist and seven shots on goal. On the season, Freeman ranks eighth in the AUS in points (5) and ninth in goals (3).
