Saint Mary's Huskies partner with Football Nova Scotia to announce new Junior Huskies Football Program

Saint Mary's Huskies Football program, in partnership with Football Nova Scotia, is excited to announce a new offseason program that will focus on developing skills for young football players in the province.

"It is with great pleasure that I get to announce that the Saint Mary's Huskies and Football Nova Scotia have partnered to form the Junior Huskies Program," says Huskies Head Coach Steve Sumarah. "It's a developmental program with an emphasis on skill and fundamentals. We are very excited to work together with Football Nova Scotia and look forward to having many of our current and future football players participating."

The Junior Huskies program welcomes athletes of all skill levels from ages 4-18.  The program runs from January 8 to March 12, 2023. It will focus on two levels of development: Elite Tackle and Football Prospects. The program's objective is to offer a variety of age and skill specific football training programs. 

"Football Nova Scotia is thrilled to partner with the Saint Mary's Huskies football program with the goal of building the sport within the community," says Football Nova Scotia's Executive Director Karen Ouellette. "Ultimately, this program is another step in helping us continue strengthening football training programming while growing the game in the province."

Details on registration and cost will follow at a later date.
