Matt Tipoff of the Saint Mary Huskies men's hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Jan. 31, 2016.

In his fifth-year of eligibility, he is currently completing an MBA at Saint Mary's University. The 6-foot-0 forward posted six points in three wins this past week for the Huskies.

He had a goal and two assists in Wednesday's hard-fought 5-4 win over the crosstown rival Dalhousie Tigers.

Friday at the Varsity Showdown held at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Tipoff scored two goals against the CIS No. 3-ranked Acadia Axemen as the Huskies went on to win 4-3. 

Tipoff notched his fourth goal and sixth point of the week Sunday as the Huskies clinched their third win, topping the CIS No. 7-ranked StFX X-Men 4-2 in Antigonish, N.S.,
