Tigers top Huskies 2-0

(Halifax, NS) Friday evening, in AUS men's soccer action at Huskies Stadium, the Saint Mary's Huskies and the Dalhousie Tigers engaged in an intense, feisty contest that resulted in numerous cards and fouls for both teams.

Both teams were unable to score in the first half, leaving the match scoreless.

In the second half, the feistyness continued when Saint Mary's goalkeeper Christian Oxner (Halifax, NS) got a red card in the 74th minute, reducing the Huskies to 10 players.

Immediately afterwards, in the 77th minute, Bezick Evraire (Ottawa, ON) tallied to give Dalhousie a 1-0 lead. Evraire struck again in the 86th minute, and added extra insurance with a second marker to make it 2-0. Jason Ross (Bedford, NS) did his part by getting the shutout in the Tigers' goal.

The Tiger hit the pitch next at home against the Memorial Seahawks tomorrow at 1:00 pm. and SMU returns to Huskies Stadium on Sunday at 3:15 p.m.
