Forsey Nets Two as MUN tops SMU 4-1

(Halifax, NS)  In AUS men's soccer action Sunday at Huskies Stadium, the Memorial Seahawks overpowered the Saint Mary's Huskies to win 4-1.

Iain Gamba (St. John's, NL) got things started when he scored in the 18th minute to give Memorial at 1-0 lead. In the 42th minute, Subway player of the game Tyler Forsey (St. Philips, NL) put one home to increase the lead to 2-0. In injury time, Forsey potted his second marker of the game to give the Seahawks a 3-0 lead after the first half.

In the second half, Jordi Slaney (St. Lawrence, NL) continued the scoring spree in the 74th minute to make it 4-0. In the 78th minute, Saint Mary's got on the board when William Trifos (Halifax, NS) tallied to narrow the deficit for the Huskies.

Both teams get back to action this Saturday. Memorial is at home to the Cape Breton Capers at 3:15 pm NST and Saint Mary's hosts the Saint Francis Xavier X-Men at 3:15 AST.
