Bain, Dunsworth, Mercer named to 2023 AUS Men's Soccer All-Star teams

Three Saint Mary's Huskies men's soccer players have been honoured by Atlantic University Sport as 2023 Men's Soccer All-Stars. Defender Woody Bain was named a First Team All-Star, while defender Adam Dunsworth and forward Colby Mercer were named Second Team All-Stars.

Woody Bain, a third year defender out of Dartmouth, NS, has been selected as a 2023 AUS First Team All-Star. Bain started all 12 games for the Huskies this season, leading the team in goals with five, and ranking second in shots on goal (15).

Adam Dunsworth, a fifth year defender out of Halifax, NS, has been selected as a 2023 AUS Second Team All-Star. Dunsworth started nine games for the Huskies this season, contributing a pair of assists and 15 shots.

Colby Mercer, a third year forward out of Beaverbank, NS, has been selected as a 2023 AUS Second Team All-Star. Mercer started 12 games for the Huskies this season, ranking second on the team with three goals, three assists and six points, and leading the team with 30 shots.

The Huskies finished the 2023 season with a 5-4-3 record, good for fifth place in the AUS Standings. They will take on the Memorial Sea-Hawks in the AUS Quarterfinal, on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. in Sydney, N.S.
