McMillan ends legendary regular season career on AUS, Huskies leaderboards

While the Saint Mary's Huskies are headed into the Atlantic University Sport women's basketball championship this week, this past weekend marked the final regular season games in the five-year career of Huskies standout guard Alaina McMillan.

McMillan was named an AUS First Team All-Star, the third consecutive season that she was named to the league's top All-Star team. McMillan was also named an AUS Second Team All-Star in 2019-20, and to the AUS All-Rookie Team in 2018-19, joining Huskies legends Kennisha-Shanice Luberisse (2014-18), Justine Colley-Leger (2009-14) and Julie Galipeau (1999-04) as the only players in Huskies women's basketball history to be honoured as All-Stars four or more times in their AUS career.

The fifth year point guard out of Brantford, ON, led the league in three-pointers made with 50. This marks the second straight season that McMillan led the league in three-pointers made, as she hit a school-record 57 in the 2022-23 season.

McMillan finishes her AUS regular season career third all-time in three-pointers made:

  1. Jadranka Crnogorac, Saint Mary's (1993-98) 226 3FGM in 100 games played

  3. Alaina McMillan, Saint Mary's (2018-24) 212 3FGM in 96 games played
