Huskies score two in third to edge Panthers

Charlottetown, PE - The Saint Mary's Huskies scored two unanswered power play goals in the third to edge the UPEI Panthers 2-1 in front of 147 fans at MacLauchlan Arena.

Panther defenceman Laura Bradley from Bria Harding opened the scoring on the power play with 52 seconds remaining in the first.

The second period was scoreless as both teams competed for an edge in play.

In the third it was the Huskies Kiana Wilkinson at 11:51 from Sarah Douglas and Breana Lanceleve followed by Subway player of the game Laura Polak at 6:58 from Lanceleve and Mary Wordl.
Justin McIntosh made 27 saves for the win, while Marie-Soleil Deschenes made 22 saves in the loss.

The Panthers return to action on Sunday, November 15 when they travel to Moncton to play UdeM, game time 2:00 pm.

The Huskies play their next game on Saturday, November 21 when they host UdeM, puck drop 2:00 pm.
