Shae Demale named U SPORTS Women's Hockey Player of the Week

Huskies forward Shae Demale (Red Deer, AB) has been named U SPORTS women's hockey player of the week for the period ending Dec. 4, 2022.

Shae Demale made her 50th career goal a big one, as she notched the game-winner in the Huskies' 3-1 win over then-No. 5 STFX last Tuesday. Demale assisted on the two other SMU markers and was a +3 on the evening. 

The goal marked Demale's 50th career regular season goal, tying her for 22nd in the AUS all-time record books and fifth all-time for Saint Mary's.

This season, Demale sits second in the conference in goals with 12, second in shots on goal with 94 and third in points with 22.
