Day two of the 2024 AUS Track & Field Championships wrapped up on Saturday in Moncton, NB, with the Saint Mary's Huskies winning another four medals and securing a 3rd place finish for the men's team.

The day was highlighted by Eric Wall's gold medal win in the men's high jump. Jumping a height of 1.94m, Wall narrowly beat out Dalhousie's reigning champion Diego Marshall on countback to punch himself a ticket to the U SPORTS Championships in Winnipeg.

Chad Smith ended his phenomenal rookie season with a silver medal in the men's 60m dash, only three hundredths of a second behind Dalhousie's Jojo Swaniker. Smith ran yet another PB, crossing the line in 6.97 seconds.

In his last competition wearing the maroon and white, Tristan Sutherland finished the seven events of the heptathlon with a silver medal and a new PB of 3671 points. Sutherland also equalled his pole vault PB of 3.10m during the heptathlon.

To cap off a successful championship weekend, the Huskies men's 4x400m team (Brody Boudreau, Keegan Hall, Oliver Gavel and Eli Ford) raced to a bronze medal finish in a time of 3:37.83.
