Men's track & field athlete Andy MacMullin and women's hockey defender Anna Barrington have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week ending January 19th, 2025.
Huskies men's 4x400 relay break school record

The Saint Mary's Huskies are competing in the Athletics Nova Scotia Open at the Canada Games Centre in Halifax this weekend. In the first night of competition, the Huskies got off to a strong start, including the men's 4x400 relay team of Andy MacMullin, Innis MacMullin, Liam Foley, and Keegan Hall breaking the school record with a time of 3:27.

Huskies recognize school-record 124 Academic All-Canadians

The Saint Mary's University Huskies Department of Athletics celebrated the academic success of their student-athletes on Tuesday morning with the annual Huskies Academic All-Canadian breakfast ceremony. A new Saint Mary's record of 124 student-athletes were awarded the standing of U SPORTS Academic All Canadian. U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian distinction is one of the highest recognitions a university varsity athlete may receive. To earn U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian distinction, a varsity student-athlete must be enrolled full-time and achieve an average of 80% or higher in the academic year.
'A dream come true' Saint Mary's shot put star Katie Pegg set to compete at 2024 Paralympic Games

This June, Katie Pegg, a second-year science student at Saint Mary's University, achieved a tremendous accomplishment by qualifying to represent Canada at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France.
