Emilie Comeau's (Valérie Haché, Erica Plourde) power-play goal at 19:52 of the second period was the winner to allow the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (6-3-1-1=14pts, 5th à position) to defeat the Saint Mary's University Huskies (6-3-1-1=14pts, 4th position) 2-1 on Friday night in an Atlantic University Sport women's hockey game in front of more than 470 people at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena on the Moncton campus.
Lianne Desforges (Maritza Labrie, Shani Rossignol), also on the power play, tied the game at 1-1 some 49 seconds before the game-winning goal. Ava Shearer (unassisted) at 4:41 of the period gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead.

There was no scoring in the first and third periods. Comeau and Shearer were named players of the game.
Ridleigh Hansen had 31 shots in the loss and Annick Boudreau 19 for the win. Moncton was 2-for-5 on the power play and Saint Mary's 0-for-3. Both teams battled well on the ice with several attacks that didn't work.
The Aigles Bleues improve to 6-3-1-1, while the Huskies fall to 6-3-1-1 on the campaign.
Both teams will be back in action tomorrow, with the Aigles Bleues hosting the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena. The Huskies face the Reds at UNB on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. in Fredericton.
