Huskies win 3-1 over Aigles Bleues in Moncton

MONCTON, NB - Saint Mary's outside hitter Breanna Golding recorded 20 kills and 15 digs, leading the Huskies to a four set victory (25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 25-18) over the Moncton Aigles Bleues on Friday night at CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium in Moncton.

The sets were close, and the game lasted quite a long time, but it was the visitors Saint Mary's University Huskies (3-2) who came out on top of the Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball game 3-1 against the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (0-5) at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium in front of nearly 400 people on Friday evening.

The Huskies won 25-21, 24-26, 25-21 and 25-18. Breanna Golding had 20 kills on offense for the Huskies and Sydney Fader 12. Fader and Golding also each had 15 digs. For the Aigles Bleues, the offence was led by Evette Petherick and Kyana Sivret with 17 and 13 kills each. Petherick participated on 20.5 points. Jasmine Allain led the defence with 23 digs.
