HALIFAX, NS - The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Saint Mary's Huskies in straight sets (25-22, 25-21, 25-17) in Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball action on Friday night at the Dalplex.
The Huskies were led by right side Sydney Fader (Dartmouth, NS) with eight kills, left side Emilia Mikanovich (Minsk, Belarus) with 14 digs and setter Grace Blaskovits (Kelowna, BC) with 15 assists.
The win improves the Tigers to a league-leading 10-2 on the season, while the Huskies remain in second place with an 8-4 record. The two rivals will be back on the court for a rematch on Saturday, Jan. 18, with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Dalplex.
