Mikanovich powers Huskies to four set win over Tigers
HALIFAX, NS - Saint Mary's left side Emilia Mikanovich led the way with 20 kills, as the Huskies defeated the Dalhousie Tigers in four sets (30-28, 19-25, 25-16, 25-23) in Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball action on Saturday night at the Dalplex.

Emilia Mikanovich (Minsk, Belarus) led the Huskieswith a match-high 20 kills, adding 11 digs and one service ace on her way to Player of the Match honours. Middle Alena Piatukhova (Minsk, Belarus) chipped in 11 kills and two blocks, Breanna Golding (Pickering, ON) added 10 kills and eight digs, and setter Grace Blaskovits (Kelowna, BC) dished out a match-high 40 assists.

The Huskies win improves their record to 9-4 on the season, narrowly trailing the Tigers who dropped to 10-3. The Huskies will be back on home court on Friday, Jan. 24, hosting the Moncton Aigles Bleues (1-12) at 7 p.m. at the Homburg Centre. GET TICKETS
