The Axewomen battled back off of service runs from Mia Lemay-Evans (Azilda, ON) and Leah Weatherhead (Windsor Junction, NS), tying it at 10-10. But Acadia came back with back-to-back service aces from setter Katie MacLean (Humboldt, SK) to tie it at 6-6. The two teams were evenly matched throughout the second set, with neither team leading by more than two points, until at 16-16, Huskies left side Emilia Mikanovich (Minsk, Belarus) scored an ace, sandwiched between kills from Breanna Golding and Anna Liniewski (Burnaby, BC), opening up a 20-16 advantage.
