Mercer and Schuler named Huskies Athletes of the Week: Sept. 2-8, 2024

Men's soccer forward Colby Mercer and women's soccer forward Katelyn Schuler have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week ending September 8th, 2024.

Colby Mercer, a fourth year forward from Beaver Bank, NS, is the Huskies male athlete of the week for the week of Sept. 2-8, 2024.

Mercer recorded two goals and an assist over a pair of Huskies wins. In Saturday afternoon's 2-0 win over UPEI, Mercer scored the Huskies second goal. In Sunday's 3-0 win over Mount Allison, Mercer assisted on the Huskies first goal, and scored their third goal on a penalty kick.

Katelyn Schuler / Women's Soccer / Edmonton, AB / 1st year / Arts

Katelyn Schuler, a first year forward from Edmonton, AB, is the Huskies female athlete of the week for the week of Sept. 2-8, 2024.

Schuler scored a hat-trick in Sunday's 3-1 win over Mount Allison. The first year forward came on as a second half substitute and scored the first three goals of her AUS career to power the Huskies to a 3-1 victory.
