Jack and Alley named Huskies Athletes of the Week: Sept. 23-29, 2024

Men's football receiver Joshua Jack and women's soccer goalkeeper Katie Alley have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week ending September 29th, 2024.

Joshua Jack, a third year receiver from Brampton, ON, is the Huskies male athlete of the week for the week of Sept. 23-29, 2024

In Saturday's 19-14 loss to the Bishop's Gaiters, Jack led the Huskies with two catches for 85 yards and a touchdown, including a spectacular 78-yard catch and run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Jack was also an x-factor on special teams, returning three kicks for 102 yards including a 67-yard return.

Katie Alley / Women's Soccer / Milton, ON / 3rd year / Commerce

Katie Alley, a third year goalkeeper from Milton, ON, is the Huskies female athlete of the week for the week of Sept. 23-29, 2024.

In Saturday's 4-2 win over the STFX X-Women. Alley made five saves. In Sunday's 6-1 loss to the CBU Capers, Alley made 13 saves, including stopping a penalty kick.

On the season, Alley leads all AUS goalkeepers in games and minutes played, ranking second in wins (4) and third in saves (40).
