Freeman and Buffie named Huskies Athletes of the Week: Sept. 30 - Oct. 6, 2024

Men's soccer forward Sean Freeman and women's hockey forward Charlotte Buffie have been named Huskies Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Freeman's Little New York Halifax, for the week ending October 6th, 2024.

Sean Freeman, a fourth year forward from Halifax, NS, is the Huskies male athlete of the week for the week of Sept. 30 - Oct. 6, 2024.

In Sunday's 4-1 win over the UPEI Panthers, Freeman scored a goal, had an assist, recorded four shots and was named Player of the Match.

On the season, Freeman is second on the Huskies with four goals and six points, helping lead the team to their first 7+ win season since 2012.

Charlotte Buffie, a second year forward from Winnipeg, MB, is the Huskies female athlete of the week for the week of Sept. 30 - Oct. 6, 2024.

Buffie recorded five assists over a pair of games, and is tied with her linemate Avery Cant for the U SPORTS scoring lead after one week of play. In Wednesday's 2-1 overtime loss to Moncton, Buffie assisted on Kara MacLean's goal. In Saturday's 6-2 win over UNB, Buffie led the Huskies with four assists.
