Atlantic University Sport is proud to announce its 2022-23 AUS Athletes of the Year. UNB REDS women’s hockey standout Kendra Woodland has been named the AUS Female Athlete of the Year while Andrew Peverill of the Saint Mary’s Huskies cross country and track and field teams is the AUS Male Athlete of the Year.

In their last competition before the AUS Championships, the Huskies played host to the 2023 Saint Mary's Open at the Canada Games Centre in Halifax. Rounding into form at the right time, four school records were broken throughout the day with multiple personal bests.

In one of the season’s biggest tune-ups before the AUS Championships, the Huskies Women’s and Men’s Track & Field teams were in Saint John, NB to compete in the UNB University Invitational. Spread over two days, the meet was highlighted with two new school records, a U SPORTS Auto Qualifying time, and multiple personal bests from the maroon and white.
